Pr Dorra Kamoun

I was born in 1976 in Sfax, a seaport in the east of Tunisia, the second largest city and the country’s economic center. I had my primary and secondary studies at the nearest school and high school to my home. Having obtained the Tunisian Baccalaureate in 1995, I decided to take up studies in dental medicine in the country’s unique school of dentistry in Monastir, a coastal town in the Tunisian Sahel. Having settled down in this town ever since, I opted for university hospital career in dental biomaterials. Highly motivated for research, feeling passionately for teaching, lovingly and lavishly supervised by a dearest professor and chief "Mounir Trabelsi", I have had a largely successful course: doctorate in dental medicine (2004), a specialist in dental biomaterials (2006), university hospital assistant in biomaterials (2007), associate professor in biomaterials (2011) and university hospital professor in biomaterials (2016). Additional certified studies in health sciences pedagogy (2016), in research and publication methodology in health sciences (2016) have boosted my career as a researcher, a teacher and a health professional. Currently, t am in charge of dental biomaterials teaching at the faculty of dental medicine of Monastir. Some administrative tasks as director of mixed and fundamental sciences (MFS) at the same establishment (2020-2023) have been handed over to me. I am heading the action "Laying funds for student initiative taking" in the framework of the PAQ-DGSE project (2021). I have equally been elected president of Tunisian Association for Dental Research (TADR) (2022) and chief member of the project "Biomechanics and sealing property of restoration materials: the clinical implications" within the ABCDF LR12ES10 laboratory (since 2016)
